Daniel Oliver was one of the early settlers of Spokane, arriving in November, 1878 with his wife and child, having most recently resided in Oregon Territory after having traveled from his home state of Pennsylvania to California in 1866. Daniel Oliver was one of the first pioneers to be inducted into Spokane Citizen’s Hall of Fame even though no one has done much research on his accomplishments in Spokane or written a proper biography. This website is an attempt in part to rectify that deficit and to honor Daniel Oliver and his wife Amanda for their courageous and honorable lives.
